Naming Ceremony

A Naming Ceremony is a perfect alternative to a traditional religious service to welcome the new addition to your family.

This special event can take place anywhere you choose allowing for (permission to be given). I believe it is a wonderful way of introducing your baby or even an older child to the world. It is a time that you can give thanks in front of family and friends and thank them for their love and support.

Each ceremony is unique to your family and can include poems, readings, promises, and music to reflect your special day.

Some of my families choose to include symbolism such as lighting a unity candle or creating a keepsake box. There are many options for you to consider. Plus, this is where the family can also add their own personal touch to the ceremony. There are so many things for you to choose.

I very much welcome your own ideas as to how you wish the day to be directed and your input as a family will enhance the beauty and uniqueness of this special event.

You may also wish to choose ‘Guardians’ to make promises to your child, expressing their love and commitment to their lives, together with sharing their hopes and dreams for their future.

Grandparents and older siblings may also wish to make their own wishes and promises during the ceremony. Whatever you choose, whether it is an elaborate ceremony or just something beautifully simple I am here to help you.  The service is especially written to shape a wonderful heart-warming personalised day which you will always treasure.  At the end of the day a personalised ‘Naming Certificate’ will be presented to you for you to treasure always.

Ceremony Prices

The prices below apply to ceremony venues within 50 miles of my base in Belbrougton in the Worcestershire /Midlands area. I am happy to travel further afield and details of cost are available on request. Prices are very competitive and are inclusive of all meetings with you, initial drafting of script, writing of final approved ceremony, full ceremony rehearsal and conducting the ceremony on your special day.

Baby Naming: Prices starting from £250.00

A booking fee of £100 for Naming Ceremony is payable when you decide to assign Mandy Buffery to write and conduct your ceremony, in order to secure your chosen date. Final balance to be paid 21 days prior to the date of the event.
